Why Even Bother, I ask you?

This is getting tedious, I know. Believe me, I know. But in case anybody is still reading this stupid blog, here's the latest: I got the computer back on Thursday and came to the conclusion that every single component of my computer has now been replaced. Nevertheless, ten minutes after I turned in on, it froze again. AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH! The next day I went back to the Apple Store. They're giving it one more try, with promises I'll have it back before I leave in five days for Washington. Kill me now, why don't you?

Boo hoo

Thank you to all of you who have inquired about the status of my computer and when the hell I'm getting back on line. It's a sad and tragic story. I got it back last Friday and when I turned it on Saturday, it was running, but it immediately started freezing every 45 minutes. So I tried to reinstall OSX and it failed, four times, so I took it back to the "genius bar" (ha! as if!) and they said, "Huh." The computer is now supposedly in the hands of the Apple depot, but I have heard nothing. Bleh! I don't know where it is, what's wrong with it, or when I'm getting it back. Rawr! Sunday Confidential

Stay cool, everyone, stay cool. My computer is languishing at the Apple repair whatever, waiting for "a part." Maybe they dropped it and it broke into a million pieces, I don't know. But in any case there's been a delay. Strangely, I seem to get the same number of visitors to my blog whether I post or not, so what the hell.

Update Update

Hey all, I just wanted to give you the 'puter update: the hard drive has failed, but it's in the capable hands of a technician somewhere, who is supposedly fixing it. Which means I should be back on line in approximately T minus 1 week. In the meantime, you can always read my Tuesday column at Lost Writers, which runs, as one might expect, on Tuesdays, under the heading of my alter ego, Materiella.
